Mongolian military officials have completed meetings with commanders of Qatar's Armed Forces.
During discussions in Qatar, Lieutenant General Ts.Togoo, Chief of the General Headquarters of Mongolia's Armed Forces met with Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah, Chief of the General Staff of Qatar's Armed Forces. Their meetings covered issues such as bilateral relations and joint training.

Nearly 100,000 hectares of land will be turned over to Mongolian citizens in 2009. This follows a Thursday decision by the government. Of this land, 14, 500 hectares will be signed over for private ownership for citizens to locate homes on. An additional 83,000 hectares will be transferred to citizens for planting crops, including vegetables.
