("Khan") jointly announced today that the Offeror has extended its offer to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of Khan at C$0.96 in cash per share (the "Offer"). The notice of extension being sent to Khan shareholders amends the Offer dated February 25, 2010 to extend the expiry date from 5:00 p.m. (Toronto time) on April 6, 2010 to 5:00 p.m. (Toronto time) on May 25, 2010.</p><br /><p>The Offer is conditional upon, among other things, the Offeror having obtained all required approvals from the Government of China or any regulatory authority in China that are necessary to complete the Offer. <description><![CDATA[<p>An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, led by Steven Barnett, visited Ulaanbaatar during February 3-10, 2010, to hold discussions with the Mongolian authorities of the fourth review of the country&rsquo;s Stand-By Arrangement (SBA). The SDR 153.3 million (about US$236 million) SBA was approved by IMF Executive Board on April 1, 2009 (see Press Release No. 09/110). At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Barnett made the following statement:<br /><br />&ldquo;The IMF mission today reached a staff-level agreement with the Mongolian authorities on the conclusion of the fourth review under the SBA on the basis of the authorities&rsquo; continuing strong policy performance. IMF Executive Board is expected to consider the fourth review in the coming weeks. <description><![CDATA[<p>Mongolia may eventually list state-owned mineral assets in international stock markets so that the country can convert more of its natural resource wealth into cash, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.</p><br /><p>Prime Minister Sukhbaatariin Batbold said that the poor, landlocked country is first studying the creation of three companies -- one for mining assets, another for energy assets and a third for infrastructure holdings.</p><br /><p>The government would then look to float shares in these companies in London, New York or Hong Kong, before bringing them to Mongolia's domestic stock market, he said.</p><br/><br/>3 Vote(s) ]]></description>
