This is an annual event hosted during summer of each year. The event takes place in Terelj National Park, which is a picturesque valley, 55km East of Ulaanbaatar. The fourth Mongolian International Friendship Marathon welcomes participants from all over the world to compete in its three different categories: 5km, 10 km, and 21 km half-marathon.
Welcome to yet another splendid event -The Mongol Naadam Festival which is a small-scale version of the famous National Naadam Festival, held on 11-13 July. The Mongol Naadam Festival is made up of the same three manly games as the National Festival and creates an opportunity to get a real feeling for the Mongolian festival, as well as to film and take photos much nearer than is allowed during the National Festival. Juulchin Tourism Corporation of Mongolia invites you to discover five of these celebrations, ”Mongol Naadam” in the coming 2006.

At the end of July, in the beautiful valley of Terelj National Park we hold a herders' festival where the local herders and horsemen come together to compete and show their skills and courage, catching untamed horses with Mongolian traditional lasso and taming them.
During the festival, airag, the Mongolian traditional mare-milk drink is poured and tourists enjoy the traditional "foals' race."
It is a unique opportunity to experience one day of Mongolia, the nomadic lifestyle, traditions and customs.

In 2006, Mongolia will celebrate its 800th anniversary since the foundation of the Mongolian Empire in 1206 by Chinggis Khaan – the largest empire ever.
Revival of Chinggis Khaan's Cavalry is a recreation of Chinggis Khaan’s cavalry and the core event.
During this spectacular event to be held in a steppe approximately 30km from Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, warriors of Chinggis Khaan will show their attack techniques, demonstrate their military skills with the 13 th century weaponry, and parade before the spectators.
