| Trekker's heaven |
Munkh-Hairhan in the north Altai is the most beautiful mountain in all of Mongolia. Devoted trekkers can hike up to the snow capped peak from its northern side. Such exquisite streams, lakes and colorful flower slopes are rarely found elsewhere. This mountain is also home to Argali sheep, the largest wild sheep on earth.

Tavan Bogd (Five Saints) mountain rises 15,000 feet above the borders of Mongolia, China and Russia. If you climb up to the summit, you will be able to view at these three nations simultaneously.

This is the highest peak in the Gobi-Altai range. Permanently snowcapped, Mt.Sutai is another challenging mountain for hikers, climbers and trekkers.

Mt.Harhhiraa and Mt.Turgen are part of the Uvs Lake Strictly Protected Area. They are among the most accessible peaks in this region, but not the easiest to climb. The lakes of Achit, Uureg and Ulgii ideal destination for camping, trekking and horseback tours.

Mountaineers, seeking a special challenge may travel to Mt.Otgon Tenger. It is the highest in the Hangai Mountain range and a part of the Otgon Tenger Protected Area. The 12,845 foot peak is accessible only to the prepared and devoted climbers.
