For almost the past 4 years Ripley Davenport was preparing for his walk alone across Mongolia. Finally he has started today, April 14 in windy conditions; pulling his wheeled trailer, “Miss Molly”, with 250 kg of supplies for the next 80+ days.

His home team said he was overwhelmed that all preparations finally came together. “He can't believe he is there, in the middle of nowhere.” Ripley departed Ulaanbaatar (the capital of Mongolia) and flew east to Choibalsan in Dornod province and then onward to his start position.
