An Amersham student is set to go on the road trip of a lifetime when he drives 10,000 miles to Mongolia this summer.

Edward Oakden, 22, of Copperkins Lane, will be joined by three friends, Robert Kingscote, Ollie Rostron and Freddie Ward, all 22-years-old, from Leeds University, to raise funds for charity by taking part in the annual Mongol Rally.

The team - calling themselves 'The Lost Boys' - will be one of around 450 competing groups, travelling through 16 countries, across three desserts, and scaling five mountain ranges in a car that must have a 1.2 litre engine or smaller.
